Jinhu Tang, Tang Acupuncture
About Me
I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and Registered Nurse (R.N.) with over 20 years of health care experience in China and the U.S.
I graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine—the most prestigious school of traditional Chinese medicine. I majored in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine during my six years of undergraduate study as well as Western medicine. Later I spent three years earning a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In China, I served as a Chinese Medicine doctor at Xiyuan Hospital, affiliated with the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Dongzhimen Hospital, the teaching hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. In 2004 I moved to the U.S with my family. I have been working as RN on surgical units and the vascular access team at INOVA Fairfax Hospital since 2006.
My rich education and work experience have put myself in a unique position: I understand how acupuncture and Chinese herbs can complement Western medicine. My goal is to integrate the best concepts and techniques of traditional medicine and modern medicine, blending them on the clinical level to provide the most advanced and comfortable care available.
